Event information

The Lake Hallstatt Swimming Marathon is taking place for the twelfth time this year and is one of the TOP sports events in summer. There are three different competitions to choose.

What you need to know

On 30 July 2011, the 1st international Lake Hallstatt Swimming Marathon took place.

The Hallstättersee is one of the Salzkammergut mountain lakes with 125 m depth and a water surface area of 8.55 km² and therefore reaches maximum water temperatures of 21°C in summer.

Nestled between Dachstein and Sarstein it is a scenic beauty and offers many opportunities for sports enthusiasts.

The three races

Long distance 10 km

Medium distance 5 km

Short distance 2.1 km
