Guided tours of the Lake Castle Ort | Only available in German!

The unique castle on Lake Traunsee is one of the oldest buildings in the Salzkammergut and has many exciting stories to tell.

According to legend, it was built by the giant Erla out of love for the mermaid Blondchen who lived in lake Traunsee. We invite you to take a tour of the Castle with an Austria Guide. Learn more about the fascinating structure that is now used as a venue and museum. Look forward to unforgettable insights behind the castle walls and enjoy the wonderful evening atmosphere at Lake Traunsee.

Following the castle tour, there will be a steam pump demonstration at the Gmunden guest center at 11:30 a.m.

Arrival Information: You can park your car at the Toscana Park car park! The car park is a 5-minute walk from the meeting point!

Meeting Point: The meeting point is in front of the bridge of the Seeschloss Orts in Gmunden!
