Minichmayr & Aurora Orchestra

Together with Birigt Minichmayr, the internationally acclaimed British Aurora Orchestra reinterprets Saint-Saëns' famous Carnival of the Animals : a production transforms the concert into a visit to a museum in Paris around 1900, in which the musicians and the instruments are, so to speak, sounding exhibits. They are joined by newly composed works by Richard Ayres, who adds further musical curiosities to the imaginary museum. The orchestra plays all of this from memory and uses this freedom to create impressive choreography, including costumes and props.
