Beethoven's overtures

Everything has been said about the qualities of a marvellous prelude, it just has to be performed: four times on this evening, with which Markus Poschner and the BOL examine the hypothesis that four Beethoven overtures together form something like the equivalent of a symphony in a practical and sensual way. The familiar concert reality will be at most minimally shaken; the opposite is true programmatically with Johannes Maria Staud's powerful composition from 2023. At the centre of the quake is the soloist Christoph Sietzen, a former BOL orchestra academy member who is celebrated as a shooting star.
