An ornithological walk in the Barbara cemetery

St Barbara's Cemetery is a habitat for several dozen bird species. The black blackbirds with their yellow beaks are easy to spot from spring onwards. They are gifted singers. The chaffinch with its typical call is only slightly shy of humans. The robin often sings its evening song when it is already dusk.
In addition to other "classic" species such as the great tit, sparrow, nuthatch, great spotted woodpecker or jackdaw, you can even spot the goldfinch or grey flycatcher; the calls of the chiffchaff or the cawing jay, the colourful "clown" among the corvids, are clearly audible.

years at the natural history station of the city of Linz, specialising in ornithology.
The event takes place so early in the morning because this is the best time to discover the birds. Early risers experience wonderful concerts!
