Tanzoptikum 2025

What do icons such as Frida Kahlo, Josephine Baker and the fictional Carmen have in common? As courageous and strong pioneers, they were proud of their origins, rebelled against the conventions of their time and expanded their respective art forms in a male-dominated world. They made a lasting impact on the world, and this can still be felt today.
We have been looking at our own icons and examples throughout the year and summarise them in dance images at Tanzoptikum - images that show what moves us about these icons and how they move us.
