Théo Ould

French accordionist Théo Ould pushes musical boundaries, travelling through all eras and styles with pieces from Bach to the present day.

"When you listen to Théo Ould, you have to forget everything you know about music," is how the French newspaper Le Monde sums it up. The young accordionist, who describes his instrument as "halfway between a typewriter and an extraterrestrial device [...] a 'playing machine' in the truest sense of the word", combines baroque music with romanticism and contemporary works, some of which were composed especially for Ould, including works for accordion and electronics.
