Inaugural concert singing "Roses from the South"

A beautiful selection from the piano literature of the early 1900s. From the nostalgic and brilliant piano pieces of Lili Boulanger, who died far too early, to Jean Cras' imaginative and exotic Paysages, which he wrote as an officer in the French navy on the Mediterranean, to Ravel's melancholy waltzes, Enescu's Pavane, Debussy's colourful Danse and the bacchanalian Isle Joyeuse, to a selection of Rachmaninov's most intimate preludes.
