Can mushrooms be road planners? We look at the mycelium of fungi - tree and plant symbioses. What makes the honey fungus the largest living creature on earth?
Let's find out more about the previously researched communication between fungi and plants underground! Why is deadwood important in our forests? Fungi and trees - humans and trees - fascinating biocoenoses with mutual benefits. We explore which special partnerships support and promote each other in the shade of the forest. Saprobionts, parasites and soil indicators. Which partners does the oak or the spruce prefer? What other functions do the mysterious fungal webs have? How do our plants communicate with each other, how do beech trees and the like talk to each other? What fascinating processes take place that are invisible to our eyes, and how vital are these natural phenomena in the global green network for humans, the animal world and all natural processes?
We also encounter a secret three-way relationship on the eastern shore of Lake Taferlklaus. The soil nature trail in the nature reserve is also included in our tour. At the end of the tour, we taste the above-ground fruits of the mushroom patches at the Taferlklausseehütte. Our landlord has mushroom delicacies and regional specialities ready. As a give-away, there will be scripts, forest mushroom salt, mushroom delicacies and brochures.
