In their latest theatrical madness about the abysses of our planet, the Madrid grandmasters of physical theatre whisk the audience away to a military camp where a group of unsuspecting recruits are being trained for war. This is triggered by, how could it be otherwise, the country's new leader - a spoilt, belligerent baby.

In typical Yllana style, a series of hilarious characters and an endless number of crazy situations involving war and power take centre stage. Full of humour, visual gags and other craziness, the unmistakable ensemble of characters hits the nail on the head between breakneck mischief and the man-made abyss.

For three decades, the Spanish theatre collective Yllana has been showing the world just how crazy, ridiculous and uproariously funny it can be with furious ingenuity, an outstanding sense of storytelling ranging from theatrical pantomime to elaborate magic and a mischievous streak deep in their necks. Whether deep in the jungle or in the high security wing of death row, in parade roles as mafiosi or bullfighters, travelling in space or in the cosmos of the rich and beautiful - no topic is safe from the troupe's furious slapstick.

To date, three dozen plays have been created and performed in 44 countries in front of over three million spectators, including at all the world's major theatre festivals, from Avignon to Edinburgh, from Montreal to Singapore and the Black Humour Festival at the Posthof in Linz.
