Born in Upper Austria, Martina Greiner travelled to the vibrant hometown of tango, Buenos Aires, some time ago. She could not escape the magic of tango - the quartet CUERO TANGO was founded in 2022. The four members share a long musical career. The group belongs to the Tango Nuevo movement, whose main task is to create their own compositions to keep the tango alive. The artistic search aims to reflect the current identity of Buenos Aires, a wild city where antagonistic forms and sounds coexist, from which a new music emerges.
The band's unusual line-up of bandoneon (Ignacio Santos), piano (Federico Gómez), cello (Martina Greiner) and electric guitar (Emilio Cossani) brings new textures to the tradition, but always with the intention that characterises contemporary tango: the representation of the present.
 
CUERO invites you on a musical journey to today's Buenos Aires, a city in constant flux, which is once again at a turning point in its history.
