Georg Pin­teritsch

Lentos presents the first solo museum exhibition of the Austrian artist Georg Pinteritsch (*1986). 

His works are characterised by an unmistakable visual language: Art-historical symbolism, Christian iconography and set pieces from our everyday visual culture interweave to create seemingly surreal narratives. Fundamental themes of human existence take centre stage and open up intimate pictorial spaces in which past, present and future come together in a complex way. His paintings, drawings and objects testify to a concentrated attention to social issues, such as the relationship between man and nature, or the influence of technological developments on our forms of perception. In addition to works from recent years, Georg Pinteritsch, who studied painting and graphic art at the University of Art and Design Linz, will be showing newly created works for the exhibition that provide insights into his current artistic work.
