OÖ Stiftskonzerte: "Talent trifft Tradition"

Both Andrea Marcon and Michael Oman celebrated their 60th birthdays in 2023. We congratulate them and are delighted that they are celebrating with a joint concert to round off this year's Stiftskonzerte season.

The audience can expect joyful playing, virtuosity and wonderful music from the 17th and 18th centuries. The flutist Michael Oman from Linz lost his heart to this musical epoch at a young age. With his Austrian Baroque Company, he cultivates the original sound just like Andrea Marcon, the harpsichordist and organist from Treviso in Italy. He founded his first baroque ensemble at the age of 20 and the Venice Baroque Orchestra in 1997. The ensemble is primarily dedicated to baroque operas, performs brilliantly on numerous concert tours worldwide and has an extensive, award-winning discography. At this concert, the two birthday boys will take Don Antonio Vivaldi, among others, to their centre and indulge in original musical harmony in the magnificent Baroque Marble Hall.
