The Kalkalpen National Park and the Austrian Federal Forests are jointly committed to the protection of our natural heritage and the careful use of old cultural landscapes. A particular concern is the preservation of alpine farming. After a visit to the historic Bodinggraben Forestry House, we will hike to the Blumauer Alm, which is located in one of the most scenic spots in the national park and boasts an outstanding biodiversity. On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the Federal Forests, we want to first take a look into the past together, and then also into the future of the forests.

• Weatherproof clothing
• Hiking shoes
• Snacks and drink

Requirements: The guided tours on the fixed dates are reserved for private individuals. We ask groups of 10 people or more, companies, schools or other organizations to contact the respective visitor center.

Opening hours: 09:00 to 14:00, approximately 5 hours (actual walking time approximately 2.5 hours, 10 km mostly on gravel road)
