Special exhibition. A visualisation of museum work and its objects.

The depot of the city of Leonding is on the move. The new special exhibition  on the occasion of the "50th anniversary of the city's elevation" allows visitors to encounter parts of the city's own local history collection and gain insights into how the depot works.

Collecting, organising and preserving objects and writings in depots, cabinets of curiosities and archives has been practised in Europe for centuries.

But what is worth collecting? And how do you go about it? What principles are used to organise collections? And can an object be "uncollected" again?

This will all be part of the story or stories told exclusively using artefacts from the Leonding Local History Collection.
