Unrivalled in its darkness and emotionality, the music project by Styrian singer, composer, producer and actress Anja Plaschg offers everything from tender to intense.

Soap&Skin is the experimental music project of Austrian singer-songwriter and producer Anja Plaschg. She made her commercial recording debut as Soap&Skin in 2008 as a teenager with an EP of the same name. The following year, at the age of 18, she released her debut album "Lovetune for Vacuum", which made it into the top 5 of the Austrian album charts. The national and international media response was tremendous. The "wunderkind" was compared to other female singer-songwriters such as Cat Power, Nico, Kate Bush and Björk.

In 2010, she was also honoured with the "European Border Breakers Award" for her international success at the Eurosonic Noorderslag in the Netherlands, joining a list of well-known colleagues such as Adele, Lykke Li, Katie Melua, Dua Lipa and Aurora.

In the following year, things quietened down for the artist, who wanted to focus on writing new material and other creative projects. In 2012, she made her debut as an actress in the feature film "Still Life". She then withdrew from the industry for a few years to focus on other creative projects and her private life before returning to the musical scene with her third album "From Gas to Solid/You Are My Friend" in 2018. On her fourth album "Torso", she presents cover versions of her favourite songs, giving them new, deeper facets in her very own way.
