Description:
As part of the cycle of operas by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, so far
“The Magic Flute 2023” and “Cosi fan tutte 2024” have taken place. Over 25 universities sent their best young singers to the final casting. In cooperation with the “Mozart Academy” of the Anton Bruckner Private University (Director: Robert Holzer) and directed by (Thomas Kerbl), with musical direction (Matthias Achleitner), the ensemble and the performances were enthusiastically celebrated by both the audience and the press.
In 2026 and 2027, the productions of “Don Giovanni” and “Le nozze di Figaro” will follow. In the meantime, the “1st International Mozart Competition” will take place at the Stadttheater of Bad Hall in 2025.
Special prizes in the form of engagements for the subsequent productions as well as a special audience prize will be awarded together with a distinguished jury.

In cooperation with the "International Mozart Academy"
of the Anton Bruckner Private University under the direction of Robert Holzer,
the productions of "Die Zauberflöte" in 2023 and "Cosi fan tutte" in 2024,
accompanied by masterclasses from Juliane Banse, KS Michael Schade, KS Bo Skovhus, KS Adrian
Eröd, and Katharina Stemberger, were held. More than 25 universities sent
over 100 singers each year to audition in Upper Austria. Under the direction of Artistic Director Thomas Kerbl and the musical direction of Matthias
Achleitner, the productions received acclaim from both audiences and press.
The Academy and the cycle will continue in collaboration with the Bad Hall City Theatre
in 2026 with "Don Giovanni" and in 2027 with "Le nozze di Figaro".

Eligible are currently enrolled students at a university or music college or conservatories and alumni who graduated in the academic year 2023/2024.
