The Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra (UAJO), an institution for creative jazz music for over 30 years, will return to the stage in 2025 with a special highlight. After celebrated concerts with jazz greats and 15 CD recordings, the UAJO will once again meet the French accordion legend Richard Galliano.

The program combines some of Galliano's best-known compositions with new pieces specially arranged for this concert series by the orchestra members. Galliano, who has already collaborated with renowned formations such as the WDR Big Band and the Brussels Jazz Orchestra, represents masterful virtuosity – an auditory delight is guaranteed.

This collaboration follows the successful partnerships with the Salzkammergut Festival Weeks in Gmunden, which in the past has already produced exceptional programs with tributes to Thomas Bernhard (2003) and Friedrich Gulda (2005).
